The Cool, Cool River

The Government Handshake

This is a man hands a child a smile in return for its life. It is the overflowing blood of a city that covers his fingers and everything they touch. This is the absence of the stillness and the pride of man in him. It is the buying and selling of peace and war that the child learns of and that the child knows of when he is no longer a child. The hinderance of progress is this handshake.

The Crusher of Language

The boy on the street says "Give me your money," and the man with a knife at his chest is shaking. The boy runs with the man's money in the hand that is not holding the knife, and it shakes more than his victim. In a pool of blood the man is sitting, and he's holding his stomach. He rocks back and forth, thinking of his family, in Bosnia, and he thinks, if he does not die, he will learn English. His eyes are closing and he's falling backwards, the broken pavement a grave for the sky, from which he does not remove his eyes.

Mr. Stillwater, the Face on the Edge of the Banquet

There is a cloud overhead, and it's the only thing between her and the sun. She's running west and the cloud is moving east. She hates the cloud and she runs faster. There are trees ahead, the dying remains of a forest and there is a picnic table. She runs past it and it's thirty-something occupants eating hot dogs and turkey sandwhiches and strawberries. The man closest to her is staring at her, chiseled out of stone. She wants to stop, but she can't. She has to run, farther and faster, she has to run to find what's left of the sun and the cool, cool river.

Mind

Where politics are concerned, it seems everyone has a one-track mind. Fuck that.

MoralityRoots

Since when does "rule" equal "morality"? Since when is religion the basis for it?

Fuckshitpisscuntbitchasscock.

Was that immoral? These words are, well, in this context, are simply light waves translated by our eyes into an image, but said, they are simply sequences of sounds.

I want to fuck a lady. I want to have sex with a lady. I want to make love to a lady.

Awww, does "make love" sound nicer to you? Who cares?! They mean the same thing. It's how it's said that counts.

Working on a Saturday is not immoral! It's not a sin, nor is wanting something that your neighbour has, nor is kissing on tv, nor is sleeping with a man, nor is sleeping with more than one woman, nor more than one man!, nor disobeying your parents (more on that later), nor is failing to pray five times a day, nor is enjoying material things.

Of course, if you are of a particular faith, like Islam, and it is required of you to pray five times a day, then you should. If you claim to be something, follow it, but how dare anyone tell others what's moral, in that context? Murder is wrong, for who are we to take life? Rape is wrong, for who are man and woman to force another into something unwanted? Fuck is not wrong, for it is a word and if it is said with hate or disdain, then offense is expected, but if it's said in anger at something, or in excitement, why is it so evil? What is the Saturday to me? A day. It is not holy for me, and so I will work on it if I want to.

Morality is not restrictions on personal freedom, but restrictions on the TAKING and STOMPING ON of others freedoms. Parents can tell you that you may not have a person sleep with you in their house, for it is their house, but it is not immoral, and if you are out of their house, they have no right to tell you otherwise. They have no right to tell you that drinking is wrong, for it is YOUR body and not their's and not god's, for what is god? There are some questions that are hard to answer, that may or may not be moral, and right now the only one I can think of is abortion, and while I don't condone killing babies, it is a fundamental right of every woman to terminate her pregnancy. I think it's often an immature act, but who are we to judge? We care so much about these children, and yet we murder so many in so many immoral wars fought over religion or oil or land or women!

The God Delusion.

Drinks all around, for freedom and love, passion and peace! War is nothing and we are ALL brothers! Why do we hate each other so much?

Digging up horses and beating them over and over and over

This world is lame.
